The Student Council, also known as Student Government, is a school organization formed by and from the student body. The purpose of this initiative is to encourage students to work together with the authorities for the achievement of common goals, by means of organized associations or governments.

Following the democratic model, students at Dowal School have the right to freely choose the representatives and officers of the student government. Moreover, all students have the right to be elected as a member of the student council, as long as they fulfill the established requirements to seek a position within the government body. In the end, the entire student body has the opportunity to engage in applied learning about democracy and leadership practices, either by electing their government or by being elected as a member thereof.
