Privileged
By Ana Gabriela Laínez and Mario Montes

Our whole life we've been waiting,
More than that, we've been expecting
To get a senior privilege today
It seems now we will get one until May.

The enjoyment was ephemeral
These folks went through the peripheral
To get us, all seniors into the ploy.
This behavior wasn't amiable at all.

Even the seals can feel it, it's tangible!
We don't mean to be pretentious,
But these decisions with us are not compatible
You need to understand that we feel
That this quarrel is truly interminable.

We will no longer be placid
On the other hand, we will be adamant!
Because embezzled, our privileges were.

Honduras' Dark Truth
By Daniela Paz and Oscar Martínez

Is the story true?
Power is in the hands of few.
Sides are incompatible
And refuse to be amicable.

Our spirit is indomitable
As long as our quarrel is interminable.
Who says we will break
When so much is at stake?

The hedonist governor
Gave up to a foreigner
Embezzled our money and his ultimate aim
Was to rob us of freedom and our rightful claim.

A belligerent conflict took over the streets
Defending ideals, interests, and needs.
So-called leaders with superfluous greed
Left the country with only a really bad deed.

International media is all but succinct
One side of the story is all that they print.
Adamant parties keep fighting for power
While the citizens' truth remains dark and sour.

Honduras to South Africa
By Alejandra Montalván and Blanca Fortín

With a sad expression in our faces,
Nasrala's colloquial, succinct speech,
And four teams playing for the World Cup race
Costa Rica winning USA making us not reach
The goal that all Hondurans need.

Waking up from this nightmare is what we wish
A hope in my heart was beginning to increase
Until my mamma called me and said, "Clean the dish,"
And all my happiness decreased
While USA kicked the ball, and GOAL!!!

With a steadfast heart, I began to scream,
All Hondurans jumped and roared, but were very amicable,
We all united as a compatible and placid team,
We didn't forget we needed to be very amiable,
And never, ever in life be pretentious.

The enthusiasm of winning is interminable,
And we all consecrate that day Honduras won the game.
HONDURAS TO SOUTH AFRICA.

My Eternal Love
By Dilcia Lagos from 10B

Lovely sacrifice the Lord made
At the cross life he gave
Oh, holy you are Lord!
And forever your word
Should be preached
Eternally I´ll teach.

I´ll keep loving you
Till heavens burst,
In health and ill
Forever and ever
Here you have a humble server.
There is nothing else
I can say,
All I can do now is to pray…

Times End
By Maria Feranda Carranza from 10B

I will never forget you
Though I may meet someone new,
But a part of my heart
Will forever belong to you.
I know it won´t be easy,
And I´ll miss you every second,
But everything in life
Comes with a special lesson.
Letting go is hard,
But when all sadness clears
There will not be a reason
To shed another tear;
What we had was priceless
And you will always hold my heart,
But now that our love is gone
We must forever part.
My love you took for granted,
But I gave it anyway
And still you overlooked me
Even to this day.
Of all the times you hurt me,
And all the times
I´ve cried,
I think of why
I worked so hard
And why
I even tried.
You said you´d love me forever,
But forever has come and gone,
And still I sit and wonder
Where all went wrong.

The Lovers and the Shadow
By Marcela Santos and Dulce Núñez

Two belligerent personalities
In this peripheral world
Two indomitable souls,
With an interminable feeling of love.

A black hearted shadow
Grieving alone in a yard
Saw the amicable couple,
Giving each other a hug.

With a pretentious feeling
Decide to destroy the lovers
Misleading them to another path,
And never returning back.

The lovers adamant to follow
Ephemerally left the shadow.
The couple having a superfluous need of each other
Abscond faraway in a hedonist feeling of love.
