What is new at Dowal School?
At Dowal School, we are permanently determined to accomplish our vision. Year after year, we seek for renovated alternatives to improve the educational service we offer. We believe that the effective communication with students' parents is indispensable to procure students success. Example of this endeavor was our last Open House, held on August 31st; this conjuncture allowed the first encounter between teachers and parents.
The purpose of this event, beyond conventional introductions, is to strengthen links between teachers and parents. The attendance surpassed our expectations and we are very confident that this school year will be triumphant. Our aim is to provide an authentic quality education through our vision and mission and the implementation of new structures:
- The official launching of our new Webpage. Parents have been given a username and password to access the sections that are not open to the public such as the school calendar and the forum. All school activities are to be uploaded along with photographs and relevant information.
- An e-mail correspondence has also been set up. An e-mail account has been assigned to all School Coordinators, the Orientation Department and the School Administration.
- A counseling program through the homeroom teachers in Middle and High School.
- A new school schedule for Middle and High School.
- A program for elective courses in Middle school
- The incorporation of parents and students in a continuous evaluation scheme where their opinion is taking into account.
The more we work together as a team, parents and teachers, the mores successful we will be in our students' learning process.
